ATM STOLEN FROM DELTONA STORE

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of an ATM from a Deltona convenience store early Wednesday morning. Deputies arrived at the Kangaroo Express, 400 Welcome Center Drive , at approximately 3:14 a.m. in response to an activated burglar alarm. The business’ front door frame was found in the parking lot, and an ATM that had been bolted to the floor inside was missing. It appeared that the machine had been ripped out by a rope or chain attached to a vehicle. It’s unknown at this time how much money was in the machine.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at (386) 860-7030 or Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida, toll-free, at (888) 277-TIPS. Tipsters can also provide information by texting “TIP231 plus the message” to CRIMES. Anyone who provides information to Crime Stoppers will remain anonymous and can qualify for a reward of up to $1,000.
