Transform386 CDBG-DR Hearing

Event Date(s)

Begins: April 8, 2025 5:00 pm
Ends: April 8, 2025 6:00 pm

Volusia County will hold a second public hearing to gather residents’ feedback on the Transform386 Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) action plan for Hurricane Milton recovery. The hearing will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, at the Daytona Beach Regional Library, 105 Jackie Robinson Parkway. The hearing will also be live-streamed via Microsoft Teams, and viewers will be able to submit comments during the event. A meeting link will be posted at www.transform386.org before the hearing.

The meeting will cover the same material and follow the same format as the first hearing, which took place on March 25 in DeLand. Residents will have an opportunity to learn more about the draft action plan and submit comments.

Earlier this year, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development awarded Volusia County $133,515,000 in CDBG-DR funding to support long-term recovery efforts following Hurricane Milton. The funds will help restore infrastructure, repair and replace housing, mitigate future disasters, and revitalize the local economy.

A draft of the action plan is available for public review at www.transform386.org, and internet access to view it online is available at all 14 Volusia County Public Library branches. Residents may submit comments on the plan until 5 p.m. Monday, April 14. Feedback may be submitted online, by email to transform386@volusia.org, or by mail to the Office of Recovery and Resiliency, 1578 N. Woodland Blvd., DeLand, FL 32720.

Residents who need information in an alternative format or a language other than English may contact Volusia County’s ADA/Title VI coordinator at tking@volusia.org or email transform386@volusia.org.
