Dori Slosberg Driver Education Funding Application
Volusia County’s Community Assistance Division is accepting applications to financially assist driver education safety programs in Volusia County for the upcoming fiscal year, October 1, 2026 – September 30, 2027. The assistance is being provided through fees collected by the Clerk of Court for civil traffic fines and penalties. The funds must be used for direct educational expenses. It is preferred that the driver education program be available to all public and nonpublic students in grades 9-12.
Applications for funding are available beginning August 7, 2026. Applications can be requested by contacting William Mollentze, Grants Planner at (386)736-5955 ext. 12965 or Wmollentze@volusia.gov.
Completed applications may be submitted by email to Wmollentze@volusia.gov or in person at 121 W. Rich Avenue, DeLand. Applications must be submitted no later than 3:00 p.m., September 4, 2026.
