Volusia County to Host Osteen Local Plan Workshop
Posted On: March 7, 2025
Volusia County’s Planning and Development Services Division will host a community workshop regarding the Osteen Local Plan from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, in the Osteen Elementary School cafeteria, 500 Doyle Road, Osteen.
This will be an interactive workshop where residents are encouraged to provide their views on the Osteen Local Plan, which was based on a 2008 joint planning agreement between Volusia County and the City of Deltona to address growth in the Osteen area.
This workshop is part of an overall effort to revisit local plans in the Volusia County Comprehensive Plan for the next evaluation and appraisal report required by the State of Florida. All residents are welcome to attend, share their feedback, and offer suggestions on how the Osteen Local Plan can be improved.
Two or more members of the Volusia County Council may attend this workshop. Their presence and participation may constitute a public meeting for purposes of Florida Statutes Section 286.011. For more information, call the County Manager’s Office at 386-736-5920.
