Volusia County's Housing Choice Voucher Program is not accepting applications at this time.

Waiting List

Volusia County's Section 8 waiting list is maintained by the date and time applications were received (verified local preferences will be given priority). Applicants can check waiting list placement by visiting https://section8.vcgov.org and clicking "Get My Position."

Community Assistance staff will contact applicants in writing during their placement on the waiting list to:

• Offer an opportunity to interview – Once funding is available and your name reaches the top of the list, Community Assistance staff will offer you an opportunity to interview to determine your eligibility for assistance.
• Update applicant information – At least once a year, Community Assistance staff asks applicants to verify their continued waiting list status.
