EMS Physical Agility Test

The EMS Physical Agility Test (EMSPAT) is designed to simulate the critical physical tasks performed by paramedics and EMTs during emergency situations. This test has been designed to simulate only tasks deemed to be critical by employees of the Volusia County EMS (EVAC) and is not necessarily representative of tasks performed in other agencies. The EMSPAT consists of 10 events performed continuously. Participants are given instructions and timed from the start of test until completing the final event. Failure to complete the entire EMSPAT in six minutes and 35 seconds and will result in test failure.
