Staff to meet with International Association of Firefighters

Volusia County’s Negotiation Team will meet with representatives of the International Association of Firefighters, Local 3574, which represents the county’s firefighters, lieutenants and battalion chiefs, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, to discuss collective bargaining.

The meeting will be in the Historic Courthouse, second-floor training room, 125 W. New York Ave., DeLand.


Notice under the Americans with Disabilities Act (Title II)

In accordance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Volusia County will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in its services, programs and activities. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service or activity of the county, should contact the county’s ADA Title II coordinator, Jim Corbett, at 386-248-1760 at least two business days before the scheduled event or meeting.

This notice also applies to written requests by a physically handicapped person needing a special accommodation to attend a public meeting in accordance with section 286.26, Florida Statutes.
